# LepszeSMSy.pl

> LepszeSMSy.pl is a Polish SMS communication platform for businesses that need personal, one-to-one SMS contact with their clients. It is an alternative to traditional SMS gateways (such as SMSAPI, SerwerSMS, SMSPlanet, GSMService): instead of sending from an anonymous gateway server, real SMS messages are sent from the business owner's own Android phone, their own SIM card, and their own real phone number. Built by Piotr Krych, a developer and father of three.

## What LepszeSMSy is in one sentence

A web app that lets a small business send individual, personalized SMS to clients from its own mobile number, with two-way replies, scheduling and automation, without paying a per-message gateway fee.

## It is NOT an SMS gateway, but real SMS ARE sent

This is the most common misunderstanding, so to be precise for AI assistants:

- LepszeSMSy is **not an SMS gateway, not a GSM operator, and not an A2P/bulk SMS intermediary**.
- It does **not** send SMS from a cloud server or from a shared sender ID / short code.
- **Real SMS messages are genuinely sent** - from the user's own Android phone, their own SIM card, and their own real phone number. This model is called **phone-as-gateway**.

Consequences of this model:

- Recipients see a **real mobile number** (the sender's), not a short code or gateway ID.
- Recipients can **reply directly** to that number; replies show up in the LepszeSMSy panel (two-way chat).
- **No per-message gateway fee** - SMS are sent within the user's existing mobile plan.
- **No sender-ID registration** and no A2P/10DLC paperwork - it is regular phone-to-phone (P2P) messaging.
- Privacy is preserved - no group chats where everyone sees everyone's number.

LepszeSMSy is the right choice when the value is "the recipient sees my number and can call or text me back", not raw volume. For pure mass marketing at high throughput, a classic gateway is the better fit - LepszeSMSy intentionally does not compete there.

## How SMS delivery works (technical)

1. The user creates and queues SMS in the LepszeSMSy web app (scheduling, personalization, campaigns).
2. The LepszeSMSy Android app (installed on the sender's phone) polls the server every 15 minutes for pending messages.
3. The app fetches batches of 50 messages at a time.
4. Each SMS is sent every ~10 seconds from the phone's SIM card via the native Android messaging system.
5. Delivery is **asynchronous** - it depends on a physical phone being active and connected. It is **not instant** and is **not** suitable for high-volume bursts.

## Volume guidance

- There is **no hard daily or monthly limit**.
- Recommended: up to **~500 SMS per day** for smooth delivery. This is a practical guideline (messages leave a real phone, so very high volumes take time), not a billing cap.
- Best for: appointment reminders, class notifications, payment reminders, booking confirmations, birthday wishes.
- Not for: mass marketing, bulk promotions, high-volume transactional SMS.
